The Flesch Flat is a high, center-mounted chinrest favored for its comfort, especially for the smaller-framed players. Cup height at the highest point is 35, 40, 44, or 50 mm, compared to the standard height, which is 29 mm. The arch underneath the chinrest has been engineered to clear peaked tailpieces. They are suitable for viola with the purchase of our viola barrels upgrade.

The Ebony (Diospyros ebenum) is pure black, harvested in Sri Lanka or the Chotonagpur Plateau in India. It is aged to ensure stability and quarter-sawn before being made into individual parts.
The Boxwood (Buxus sempervirens) is harvested in the foothills of the Himalayas. It is originally off-white and air-aged to ensure stability. After sectioning into quarter-sawn boards, it is carved and then stained a tasteful orange-brown.
The cork (Quercus suber) is the finest quality, fitted precisely to minimize acoustic interference and to maximize stability. The chrome fittings are individually fitted by hand, are straight, and thread easily.
The quarter-sawn rosewood(Dalbergia Latifolia) is harvested in northeast India. It is aged in the log for a minimum of two years. Large logs with the straightest grain are carefully selected for our fittings.
