NERO Kevlar Cello tailguts are made from 100% braided Kevlar that has a 500 pound (225 kg) tensile strength. They are fray resistant, will not stretch, and have none of the coatings many other products have. The chord is easily manipulated and tied. We recommend a drop of thin super glue at the end before cutting to length. Tying instructions (a simple surgeon’s knot) are on the package. Length of this chord is over 20 inches or 520 mm, so the luthier has ample slack for tying. Diameter of the chord is 2 mm. Each package contains three (3) tailguts.
