Hill pegs are the standard for elegance and comfort. The fact that they are made completely from a single piece of NERO (there are no attached rings, collars, or inlay) prevents any buzzes or future problems.

The Nero material is made in the USA from eucalyptus paper and thermosetting resins. It is pure black and mimics the finest Madagascar ebony. It is hypoallergenic and not susceptible to humidity or temperature change. The surface is impermeable to sweat and body fluids and therefore very easy to clean.  Because of the properties of the material we do not recommend using a shaper to reduce the diameter. The installation is very easy and the precision of the shafts as well as the stability of the material makes for the best functioning pegs in the business!

The dimensions of these pegs are as follows:

Shaft Length: 73 mm

Diameter of Shaft at Collar: 11.5 or 13 mm, 1:30 taper (Shafts are not turnable with normal peg shapers). The reamer for the pegbox must be used to create the correct peg head projection.

Thickness of Head: 7 mm (at narrowest part)

Overall Length: 110 mm

These pegs are not drilled or cut and polished on the ends, so we recommend installation by a qualified luthier. Installation guide is available on request.
